We were delighted to be invited to showcase our technology and devices at a prestigious innovation exchange event in Leeds in January – MIT Reap.
The event was part of an international programme that the city of Leeds was chosen to host, in partnership with one of the world’s most famous universities, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
The two-year MIT Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration Programme (REAP) provides expert, evidence-based guidance for teams to bring about significant economic and social change in their region.
MIT selects regional teams each year from around the world, involving leaders from government, business and industry, academia, finance and representatives from the entrepreneurial community.
This year, Leeds was chosen to host MIT REAP taking the opportunity to showcase its strengths to global leaders as a place where innovation driven entrepreneurship can thrive.
Delegates visited the event, at Co>Space North, to understand more about the region’s successful spinouts, networks and partnerships, including ClearSky Medical Diagnostics.
Professor Stephen Smith hosted a stand at MIT REAP, demonstrating the LID-Monitor and PD-Monitor.
“We were delighted to showcase ClearSky’s products at this event which recognises the UK’s world-leading expertise in the next generation of intelligent medical devices,” comments Smith.
