ClearSky has enjoyed success in a prestigious investment competition aimed at helping innovative businesses develop their ideas and receive valuable mentor support.
The Pitchfest competition took place at Venturefest Yorkshire – a one-day festival, held at York Racecourse on 16 November,
for nurturing business growth in the region.
Joining more than 100 exhibitors, 60 guest speakers and 1,000 visitors at Venturefest, ClearSky hosted a showcase stand and appeared in the final of Pitchfest after previously taking part in workshops and ‘pitch-offs’.
Taking the top honour, ClearSky won 12 months of business coaching support, as well as a £5,000 prize.
Dr Stephen Smith says: “Venturefest was an absolutely fantastic event for ClearSky. We are always looking at research to see what opportunities there are to work towards solving a problem and making a difference to people’s lives, and the Venturefest win will really help us deliver that.”
